A quick guide.
If you haven't received the password yet, check your spam folder first. If it doesn't help:
1. Open http://ioio.su/result/profile
2. Use your registration e-mail as a login
3. Press "I lost my password"

By the way, three contestants have already uploaded their works.

Is the purpose of the preliminary round to weed out the people who sign up just to get a book rather than to compete, or do they count to our final score? In order to qualify must we fold the models with nice paper and shape them nicely, or just fold them to prove that we are not just signed up to receive free diagrams?

Thank you.

Both.
I would expect at least 250-300 people to actually send us their pictures and we intend to choose 150 best folders. So in order to qualify for the second round you have to fold these models nicely.
But they don't count for the final score. That's why the diagrams don't mention maximum points for the tasks.

Is it uploading one photo for a model at a time?

Does that mean that only those 150 best folders will receive the tasks for the second round?

8-[ I really hope I make the cut, my favourite part is always the modular and the tesselations and that's on round 2.

Didn't see the e-mail and only realized now that qualifications are over. That's a shame on my part. Well, there's always next year so good luck to this year's folders!

With the other italian participants to IOIO we have organized a private discussion group to have fun together (it's a closed hidden group with only the official participants).
We would like to know if we can share the second stage instructions with the (italian) participants that will not pass the selection.
We know that sharing the instructions is forbidden, but we would like to continue to have fun folding with them even in the second stage.

We don't intend to break the rules but we don't want to ruin your fun either. So this year we have prepared a special offer for those contestants who didn't qualify for the second round.
During the Round 2 they will be able to purchase the taskbook for a symbolic price of €1.50 (the usual price for the olympiad taskbooks at origami-shop.com is €7-8).
Good luck, have fun!
