10 years already?
I'm pretty sure I won the Oct-10 Horn challenge with my... horn  Thanks for making the challenges summary, firstfold.

Anyways, here's my submission for the Oct-07 challenge (>1 subjects from one sheet of paper):
So rules: one uncut, unglued sheet of paper.

Since you won't count it, I don't see why not :). You can also help a lot by inviting others to also participate.
firstfold wrote:If you enter, please state what rules you followed in making your creation.
origamiplus, OrigamiMagiro, and Sunburst: remember you're expected to mention the rules you followed. OK?
Gerardo wrote:I was thinking, each of us could help with that if we convince two fellow members to participate :D. C'mon lets help out! I'll start doing that myself.
I already convinced two members to help out. Guys, do you know someone you can talk to and convince of participating? Think for example of old members that haven't returned in a while, or maybe creators that haven't ever participated in the challenges; that's just a couple of ideas. If each of us convinces two members to participate we'll have a really good number of contributions for this month's challenge :D.

Do it now while there is still time for everyone to create something.

Continuing on with my self-imposed theme of sour grapes, here's my new entry into the August 2009 challenge, titled Kamiya Satoshi in less than 30 steps.

I've created an Asian elephant in 25 steps (10 to get to the base, a hybrid 1/2 bird base 1/2 frog base, and another 15 to get to the finished model). The model is meant to be a great simplification of Kamiya Satoshi's own Asian elephant model (already 111 steps before counting repeats, etc.).

This model can also be considered an entry into the November 2013 challenge, titled reinterpreting a classic model. Since I set the challenge that month, I was not allowed to compete. Well, let's fix that.

This model fits that challenge in that there has been at least one origami elephant made from the 1/2 bird base 1/2 frog base before. I've seen it folded a few different ways online but it's hard to tell if those differences represent distinct models or merely variations on some classic form.

I'm not sure who created the model in the first place, if it's a traditional model, or anything really but, judging by how it's constructed, it's likely from the '60s or '70s. If you have any information about this model I'd love to hear it. Below are two examples of it (one I found on a stock photo site and the other is folded by Ayako Kobayashi).

The rules I followed are at the end of this video. I can't be considered for the judging of this challenge because I was the person proposing the challenge, but I thought I might contribute.
This is for the April 2017 challenge Geometry. Maybe this will inspire someone else to enter.

Best of Luck

My entry is for the May 2007 challenge: World of Insects.

Wet-folded from double-tissue. Rules: one square, no cuts, no glue. I suppose this could also count for the January 2009 challenge: Color Change.

This is my entry for the November 2013 challenge (reinterpreting a classic model) and for the July 2016 challenge (dragons). It's named "Dragons also think", and it's based upon the famous "Rodin's Thinker" by Neal Elias. Actually, I don't have any diagrams or CP for this model, so I tried to reconstruct it from a picture. Since it didn't work, I came up with this variation. I tried my best to get the pose as in the original model.
For the rules, it's folded from one single square sheet of paper, without any glue or cuts.

I designed a lobster

for the sea life challenge: http://snkhan.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=5130

The base is half-frog, half-blintzed-bird base which I have a lot of fun with nowadays.

Here is my not-going-to-be-counted contribution. It's from the November 2008 video games challenge.
I made three out of the 5 types of pikmin in the game Pikmin 2: purple pikmin, white pikmin, and yellow pikmin. They all share the same base but have different modifications near the head.
One square of 25cm kami for each model, each wet folded.
I apologize for my poor photography...

Hi guys!

It has passed some time since my last post in the forum... but I hope to be able to compensate my absence :)

I am really thrilled for this challenge and I´ll try to make some entries...

Here is my first one. It is inspired in one model that i designed (a walking pyramid) and I´ve chossen a two in one topic: "Geometry ,Feb- 14" and "Reinterpreting a Classic Model, Nov-13"

This is a modification of an traditional water bomb and it was made from a single square.

Here is my humble entry. It is an ace of spades playing card I just designed. It is the first original model I have ever shared :D Hope you like it!

I believe it qualifies for the color change subject or the life sized objects challenge. As for rules, It was made with an uncut square sheet of different colors on the opposing sides and the result is the exact size of a poker sized playing card.

By the way there is a CP for this on my gallery and I would gladly draw diagrams for this if anyone wants to fold it.

There's just a few days left. Why not simply improvise a fold that you can relate to any of the subjects? Something simple and quick to help celebrate this 10th anniversary :).

This submission is a remake/improvement of my previous Giza Pyramid Complex model that I made for the September 2010 challenge, ancient Egypt.

I reworked the whole thing to make it more accurate and easier to fold. I used the same rules as the original challenge.

I am entering this model for this challenge for Ynon Tolando who contacted me via Flikr.
I wanted to make sure the entry was made on time.
Perhaps someone could assist Ynon in registering for the Forum.

Here is my entry for the challenge.
Pegacon? (Pegasus/unicorn) I think it should belong to the topic of Mythical Creatures Oct-08. It's designed and folded this month from One piece of uncut square paper. No glue no cut. Special thanks to Gerardo for reminding me about the challenge :) .
