Doing a Model without diagram or CP

We had discussed the topic of doing a model just by looking at the finished model On this thread
Of course this should be Hojyo's easiest model, but I am still proud that I was able to do it just by looking at the picture of the finished model here: Image

My 1st attempt: Image

Cool!
Mind sharing what base it is?

it looks something like a frog base that did not have the flap petal folded...

Just do a waterbomb base. Then divide each one of the 4 flaps in 4, radially. Then open everything and shape according to the picture. To make the eyes you have to make 2 folds on each side that I think have no refference

Actually it has fairly simple reference points. Hint: the point that forms the eye ridges is the center of the paper. Also, that point is folded down to a point half way to the center.

I misread the picture at first, so there are some creases you don't want near the top, and I was only able to take this one picture before my battery died.

Cool challenge, Brimstone. Any others?

That one was obvious.

This one I didn't know. thanks for pointing it out.

Regarding the challenges I am going to look for more and if i find them, I'll let the forum know

Haha, it wasn't immediately obvious to me, that's how those extra creases got there...

Here's a new challenge from this other thread
Fold Kamiya Satoshi's DiamondImage

Here's my first attempt (I know there are more crease lines visible and it is not so smooth folded as Satoshi Kamiya's diamond, but basically it's the same I think and I was too lazy to fold it a second time):

(the picture is a little bit blurry, but it was the best one out of maybe 30 or so)

I haven't been able to do anything remotely similar. I created a nice box though.

Anna would you please share the method you used with the rest of us?

Here's the cp:

(Hope I haven't forgotten any creases)

And here's the collapsed cp:

I used very thick and strong paper, so the bottom doesn't close nicely, but the good point is, that you can see the locking mechanism on the edges.

Make a frog base without the petal folds and fold the little triangles inwards.

Although not hard, This model is quite cool.

you can see my fold of it Here

I like bill folds that are a little unconventinal.
