I guess my persistance has finally paid off.
I have a couple of ideas for April's Challenge that I hope will allow more people to find a way to enter yet will enjender some creativity.
I think (unless other people strongly object) that I will try these ideas out in a discussion thread as soon as the theme for March is announced. Maybe by seeking a wider input into the theme we will get more entries into the challenge. I will not anounce the final April theme untill April 1 (no fooling !)
I also plan to judge the next contest (March) on stroke of Midnight (according to the time zone for the Forum) so be prompt.

folding the pop-up box
I have put up on Youtube the instructions for folding my “Origami Pop-Up Box”
The instructions include (1) diagrams (2) still pictures and (3) video clips for each step.
I am asking for your comments on the video format rather than the model presented. Specifically, I would like some input on the following:
1. The stills were clipped to approximately 1 second each, with the thought that this would provide enough time to pause on the still if you wish to study the text, diagram or picture and short enough so as not to seriously breakup the flow of the action for those who leaned best through the video portion. How do you like this timing?
2. The Text, diagrams, voice and video may supply information that helps people with different learning styles. Do you agree? or do you feel that some of this information is unnecessary or worse - distracting?
3. The video is aimed at the intermediate folder and may be difficult for many beginners. Is this an appropriate target audience?
4. The view of the video is from the perspective of the folder. It is difficult to produce a video this way. Are the results worth the effort?
5. The content of this video was selected for the following reasons:
a. Several people have expressed interest in learning how to fold the model
b. The model might serve as a springboard for creating other NEW – ORIGINAL models. I might produce and additional video about how to do this .
c. The model is relatively easy to fold yet introduces some less known folding techniques thus providing a challenge
6. If you attempt to fold this model please let me know your level of skill and how successful you were in folding the model.
7. If you were able to create your own NEW ORIGINAL based on the folding techniques presented in this or subsequent video’s please list me in the credits or comments (FIRSTFOLD or SANTEE will do) and share with me a picture of the model.
