At least that gives people more time to design :D
Scenes require more designs and theoretically, more time is needed.
EDIT PS:loxwu, which is the main character in that scene?

i have a question about the rules. is it only the main character that has to be your own design or do all of the other characters/props have to be your design too

I think , main charactor must be your own design,

for example , if you creat a bird , then fold 100 and add something not your own to make a scenes.

Imay have misinterpreted you, snowblue, but it is not necesarry to even add an unoriginal piece.

So, here is my submission for this month challenge: Brother and sister wanting to ride the carousel. The main character are sister and brother folded from one square of usual 15cm kami. The model is based on Jeremy Shafer's dancers but are my own model. The carousel is my own model as well and really working.

Image

Video of the carousel in action:

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/9_BhOkdTyCM&hl=de&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="505"></embed>

The carousel has been made from many rectangles of whom seven where squares (horses and staircase) as well as three hexagons and an equilateral triangle (parts of the mechanism). All parts hold together without glue. This was a secret project I'm working on for some time now. It was tough working out the mechanism so that the horses go up and down but I really like the result :D

Wow, Anna, that was fast! Anyway, the design is nice and interesting! Resembles a firstfold type of design.

Anna,

With a considerable knowledge of hw much effort it takes to make a model like this on a scale of 1 to 10 I give your model an 11+ ! ! !

Way beyond cool ! ! !

WoW ! That's a terrific mechanism.

I like the extension of Shafer's dancers, too.
