hiya, not really sure if this is the right place to post this topic but, I've been trying to make a valentines day card. I came up with this before.

but i used two quarters of coloured A4 taped together to make a long strip of paper red on one half and pink on the other like this.

So I just wanted to ask if anybody could give some pointers on how to achieve the same result from a single uncut square of two-sided paper... that's the challenge

No problem fold one third of the paper over so that the colours are evenly distributed and then valley fold it over and over to get the desired width. It will get incredible thick but it will look exactly like in your picture.
