Monthly Folding Challenge: December 2011

A new month, a new monthly challenge! It's December, and people across the world are getting into the holiday spirit.
This month's challenge has nothing to do with that.
No, December's challenge topic is: Science Fiction.
You can fold anything from any science fiction book, movie, TV show, short story, comic, video game, board game... Whatever. If it's sci-fi, it's in. You can even invent your own canon* and fold something from that (You have no idea how long I debated with myself on whether to allow that).
RULES:
1. You may only use a single square of paper. There are so many things you could fold that I don't think this is too restrictive.
2. Likewise, no cutting or gluing. MC shaping is fine.
3. YOU MUST DESIGN AND FOLD THE MODEL THIS MONTH. Older models will not be accepted.
4. You may submit as many entries as you want, but only one will be judged.
November's winner, sinubuj, will judge this month's challenge.
*no, not cannon.

Dragons are more "fantasy" than sci-fi, in my mind. But if you make a dragon from an existing science fiction work (since I know some do have them) or create an original one with a distinct sci-fi feel to it (i.e. mechanical, technological aspects) then go ahead.

Never read Anne McCaffrey's Dragons of Pern, then?
Come on chaps, lets try Yodas, Klingons, X wings, Tardises, Daleks, Face-huggers, Green Lanterns before we fold Space-Dragons!

12" handmade tissue foil.
(I didn't have any brown tissue paper unfortunately, so he's purple instead).

I may not be the first person to throw down this month (or any month)... but I am the first person to throw down with a spacecraft. So I got that going for me. Here's my VF-1 Valkyrie from Macross.

I've got a couple of other things I'm working on that I may be able to get done in time for this challenge... so I'm hoping rule 4 doesn't mean that all entries after your first will be disqualified. Can we get some clarification on that rule, gab?
PS: Anyone who's into science fiction may want to check out my flickr for my origami renditions of a Pierson's Puppeteer (from the
Known Space novels/stories), Tars Tarkas (from the
Barsoom novels and the upcoming
John Carter movie) and Jabba the Hutt (from the
Star Wars movies, etc.). None of them are eligible for this month's competition, I just thought some sf fans might dig them.

All your entries will be considered, but only one will win (i.e. you can't take both first and second place). The judge will pick the strongest of your models to judge.
