A very effective paper for making microgami is butter-menthol wrappers. Choice for those challenging mini cranes and mini models

looseleaf will make small models, but rips too easily for me...

Hmm... Yeah, that's what I use in Science if I forget my kraft paper. I normally carry around 7.5 squares if I have a compulsion to fold while I'm in class. Not great for advanced models but for basic generic folding, it does the job :)

for really complicated models I like to use huge sheets of tissue paper so thick points can be easily foldable.

I use tissue foil because it's awesome. I just wish that I didn't have to make it.

I really love making tissue foil. I turn on the music and make some papers, mostly for later use (not for special projects).

I have to make mine just before I use it, because I find that otherwise, the glue isn't very flexible. However, I love the result of making tissue paper, and I like making it too.

Mod Podge craft glue, and also Elmers Craft bond fabric glue. The elmers stuff works great, but its so thick.

I just made some tissue foil a couple minutes ago using the Elmer's spray adhesive and I've had a pretty good experience with it. Perhaps I'm using too much because I've made nine sheets and it seems to be running out....?
How much thinner is MC treated double tissue paper compared to sandwich paper? Does the MC add to the thickness at all?

As far as I can tell, MC doesn't change the thickness of the sheet by any observable amount (assuming you use a reasonable quantity of MC, that is).

Haha ok. I'm going to try that stuff this summer. But I think I'm a little afraid. Sounds so... messy :?.: It may sound lame but my heart was racing the first time I made tissue foil  .

Same here, the first time I made tissue foil I think I was sweating. "Dont screw up! THAT'S A WRINKLE! Oh my God!". Yeah. That's pretty much what it was like.

Nova Scotian!! Wow! Do you fold? I'm guessing so. :D

I was like that at first, too, but not quite as frantic. I just thought that I can't make any wrinkles at all...

With Tissue foil is really does not matter.

In my experiance it seems that the foil becomes to wrinkled by the end of folding a model, you would not see any wrinkles...

But wrinkles are easy to get rid of, just press them down with your fingernail and they will just flatten.
