I want to know if banana paper is good for all origami including complex. Please say why you said yes or no.

I'm not sure if it's good for complex origami, but with MC it works fine to fold.

Well I tryed to make satoshi kamiya's flying hercules beetle with banana paper and it worked. So I'm going to say banana paper is a pretty good paper but its hard to see creases(I'm answering my own question).

Abaca fiber comes from a banana plant relative, so it probably has similarly strong and lengthy fibers, which are nice for complex models. Its used quite a bit in Origamido papers meant for insects, and similarly it is rather difficult to see pre-creases. I've not folded Banana paper itself, but it seems fairly similar in qualities, but I'd say the inclusion of the wood bark and clumpy fibers probably doesn't lend it well to super complex models. It is an issue in mulberry/kozo papers, but those pieces can usually be removed with care before MC treating it.

Speaking of banana paper.... while I was looking around for it I found this "Mango Paper" which looks like it could be great for folding... and it comes in a 6x6 tablet, so ready-made for smaller origami: http://www.ecopaper.com/mango-paper-squ ... -pad-6-x-6

I have no affiliation with the company.
