The title says it all. I was thinking of making it as a gift. I want to know the best paper for it. At first i thought Elephant hide, but then i thought because of the layers it would become difficult to use.
Please help.
Thanks

How about tant?

Tant wears out easily and rips wherever it is stressed. For a project like this you need a more stress-resistant paper. Anything big and strong with good memory. Elephant hide works but is a bit thick, Kraft paper should work fine as well and comes in nice colours. Double MC paper is surely great but probably overkill.

I wouldn't exactly call tant weak, but for this model because of all the sharp folds and precreases, it isn't optimal.
I'd suggest however doing test folds with different paper. You should get to know the model and try it out many times.

I used washi. It worked pretty well.
