I did some looking around myself and I think i found the same kind of kraft that is used to make those big posters at schools. It is colored and sopposedly lightweight. To find the same kind of kraft people like Cecilia and Djorde use though, is probably impossible to find where us unlucky fellows live. (The U.S.)

I like Nicolas Terry's website Origami shop. You can get just about any paper you want there.

This may have already been mentioned, but in the U.S., school supply , Sams and others seem to be offering a quite thick grade of roll kraft . Mostly by Pacon . Sturdy for bulletin boards , but not so great for minute details.
I have several rolls, not used too much .
Michael's has thin white and thin beige only, in 30 inch rolls. ( Sometimes black ).
Kimscrane has nice color selection in 12 inch sheets, thin , but can be more expensive relatively.
They can special order larger sizes, with the per foot charges , unfortunately .
They also carry both U.S. and " European" kraft, both somewhat thin .
So, nice selection, but in the end, one has to evaluate shipping costs from Germany kraft,
versus higher per foot cost @ kimscrane.

i hate tried to kraft from kimscrane. it is "alright." a couple notes on it. the 60 cm squares are not perfect squares. the paper is thin enough to do super complex models. oddly enough, however, hygloss metallic foil paper is still "thinner" and produces a better model, whereas the kraft's thickness will start to get in the way.

the quest continues

Justin, go on Etsy, and search European kraft. Or search rolls of kraft, and look through the GSM's of the papers. After about an hour of searching last year, I found some really great results, and there are a few Korean sellers that would probably sell you some.

I am aware this is an old topic but just in case anybody comes looking for it here are links to the specific kraft papers that seemed like they might work

http://www.modulor.de/en/wrapping-paper ... -gold.html
This looks like the kind of Kraft that Djorde used to use. It also fits the size (70 cm on the short side).
If you go down the drop down menu located above the price you can also choose other colors like a silver and blue combination that he used on his Ryujin 2.0. (shoot it sounds like I stalk you :D )

This also seems promising. It comes in an even wider variety of colors, and a few lengths of roll.

Also, random sidenote: Shouldn't this be in the paper section?
edit : it has been moved. You can disregard the line above

I also found this in case anybody comes looking. It fits the color quotient (they carry red and gold, and red and green, plus some others) and its even cheaper than Modulor! They also share the same gsm so thats a match.
