Which paper is suited for Gen Hagiwara's Violin?

I think that I would like the dimensions to be 3x12 inches.
I've already folded a 'practice model', but used regular kami paper which didn't hold the folds well. What kind of paper would you recommend that resembles a violin's color and also keeps its shape? Even though I am an experienced folder, I haven't experimented with a large variety of paper, and neither have I wet-folded.
It would be helpful if you could point me in the right direction for paper color and type, and perhaps where I could purchase the right paper.
