O-Gami

Post by Baltorigamist »

Does anyone have any tips on using this paper before I start folding? I'm especially concerned with shaping--will I need MC, or can I just dry-fold it all the way through?

Just in case it's important, I'm planning to fold a super-complex model (my own design) from a ~53cm square of O-Gami. The paper is a little thick for my taste (about 70-80gsm), but I think I can manage.
I'm just curious about whether MC will help with shaping. I'd hate to waste such an expensive sheet.
After the fall, we rise.

for the medium weight o-gami, you can dry fold it through the entire way--i've done kamiya's loggerhead with it, as a metric. i think the light stuff does need some mc, as otherwise it's like folding a very fine cloth.
