Ermakov's mantis shrimp paper

Hello earth! I just found a 40gr, 85x85cm paper for my 1st try with this model, and before I start it, I'd like to ask if I'm going to have some troubles because of the thickness or anything else... Another thing i'd like to ask is, anyone know any efficient (no adding crispness, thickness to it) way to pint paper?
