okay, so could anyone identify what kind of paper the folder used to make these devils? I love to fold this model, but i love it even more with this strange textured paper! i hope someone could find it out! thanks!

I don't know, those are either computer generated or heavily photoshopped. Several things prove this: first, the red devil's wing sticks out of the frame, but most importantly, the shadows are all in different directions but all four devils have glare on their faces.
But yeah, I don't know what that folder used. I used 11in kami and it turned out OK.

From my experience kami is just fine for Maekawa's Devil. In Genuine Origami, Maekawa lists the paper he used as S Vellum Colour Ramie.

Please excuse the late reply, but I might be able to help with the paper identification .
I believe it to be tissue foil , probably from Nicolas Terry's Origami-shop .
Another potential paper might include Biotope , again from Origami-shop .
I really like it's thinness, sturdiness and uniformity of colour .
