Umm... It's hard to explain. You just collapse it. There's nothing missing and you begun pretty well, I think that the real problem here is that you haven't got enough experience in folding. There are already some picture of the collapse around that top area, just look closely at them and try fold each line very carefully. You'll get there eventually, just keep trying.

Don't get me wrong, I folded about 10 years ago, but some things are foggy. Crease patterns are completely new to me, considering I have never heard of them before.
I have finally folded a full dwarf! I need a little advice on the hat/face area when collapsing. As you can tell from my pictures, it's not the greatest fold. Although, I did do it with copy paper to test it out
Here are the links to my progress .... any help on the hat and face collapse would be appreciated.

after chatting on the irc channel that has been set up by ppl from this website i printed out the cp for the dwarf and gave it a go. Being as this was only the 2nd cp i had a go at i was surprised when i collapsed it
It's not perfect but stands up and there is a face although i need to do it a couple more times to make it look better

I think I might just do the whole thing over again and make it cleaner. It would help if I had bigger paper too, so I can't complain too much. I just wanted to see if I could do it in the first place, so I used copy paper.topsu wrote:Congrats! Now you should just try again and make it more clean. For collapsing that hat/face area, you should probably just try again, maybe by printing out a partial CP.
Growlanator: That's a nice dwarf

Hobbs - all four of the creases on the edges of the diamonds are mountain folds. The line going horizontally through the diamonds is valley. The lines at the left and right edges of the diamonds are mountains. You collapsed it, but in case you need a bit more help, I thought I'd make a quick text diagram

I printed the crease pattern for the Rock Star guy ... precreased and everything until I can work on him tonight. I was studying the CP, and couldn't find any good reference points so I can do it without printing the actual crease pattern. I would like to be able to move on from that in the future, but it is from a rectangle, so every fold doesn't necessarily meet another fold, it's always a little bit off because of the odd dimensions. Anyone know a way around that?
I printed this CP:

It's not a huge problem ... I would like to be able to do it without printing the CP, let alone folding an entire grid when it's not necessary.

My problem is that it is this weird half and half thing. You are referring to this one right?

Won't he be missing an arm? I think it's a strange CP considering that he has pictures up that has two arms, and it's supposed to be the newest model (red guitar).
I'm not sure if I'm supposed to try mirroring the image so I have the full cp, or just try this strange one he posted. I'm guessing the aforementioned, considering there is a gap in between which doesn't make sense. Since the model is symmetrical I think he just posted half and half to save time.
EDIT:
Here's the full CP ... I think it is 32x32 ... tried counting myself but could only come up with 28.
