Wwwwaaaiiit, are you going to try folding this out of tissue paper? I can tell you right now that it't not gonna work. the paper, while it is normally good to have thin paper, is way to thin. when you try to crease the paper, it is extremely likely to tear. I think that if this is your first ryu jin attempt, and you don't know for sure that it will work, this will be full of a lot of wasted time and lots of dissapointment

In reverse two layers of tissue paper glued together with methyl cellulose are the best folding medium I know of so far. So I would highly recommend this paper for any complex model.

I'm not sure if this is what he's using, but have you ever heard of double MC tissue paper? Search the forum for loads of information about it.

Not to mention there are different kinds of tissue, such as abaca tissue, silk tissue, etc.

Ah, yes I have heard of double MC tissue paper, but I don't know if I read his post properly... the way I interpreted it was that he was going to glue the edges of two sheets of tissue paper together and then fold it... oriman217, can you clear things up a little bit and tell me whether you meant what I thought you meant, or glueing them together like a tissue foil minus the foil? and also, origamimasterjared was right, there are many different kinds of tissue paper, if not ordinary paper that you would buy from a craft store, what tissue paper are you using?

I change my mind.Artur where did you get your paper because I found a site where theres paper 40 inches wide. I was thinking of making 4 square and on each making a 48 by 48 grid then gluing them together.

Oriman217, where did you obtain the 3.5 CP? I believe that it was only ever shown at a meeting in Toronto, and I do not think that anyone on this forum who was at that meeting would betray SK's trust and show the CP to anyone. Are you going to make it just from looking at pictures in progress? Whatever way you are folding this model, good luck ;)

To conect the 2 end points of the scales:

I have to partial unfold the scales, match the end points and then refold,

Or I just have to overlap them?
Pobody's nerfect.

I think that you simply have to overlap them... I am almost ready to fold this; I have finished all of the test folds, and all i need is the paper :D when I find out exactly what you are supposed to do, I'll PM you :D

Hope this helps
