I found a picture of a half shaped base, but I can't get mine to look the same... Does anyone have any pictures of their folding of the LSD or the base without folding the flaps into position? I have mine mostly figured out.
Here is the link to the base picture. http://www.flickr.com/photos/32947579@N07/4116307897/ Can someone please help me? It is hard to take pictures of my base because it is very messy

Your base looks right, and you have all the flaps in the correct positions too. Which parts do you need help shaping?
Edit: So many people have asked about the leaves, so I made photodiagrams for how I did them.

This may or may not be the way Kamiya shaped it, I just came up with this method on my own, based on experience with other models that use similar structures.

Necro-ing a thread.
I'm curious, how exactly am I to collapse the base?
I can't really see which parts will become what in the final model. And this really isn't helped with the large fish base in the middle sort of... shortened. A lot because of pleating. ._.;
If anybody has some small suggestions, thanks, and sorry for bringing up a near year/ two year old thread. Brought up from page 12 x-x;

How big should the paper be?

Also, for reference finder (by Robert Lang), how do you find the coordinates of your CP? I can't find the coordinates to plug into Reference Finder 4.0 ...

Around 50cm (or larger) would do nicely. You shouldn't really need reference finder. Two or three people have posted their reference point in previous posts. (on the first page)
