I'll test it :) I would consider myself a skilled folder. The cp doesn't look too hard anyways....

thank you so much! no the cp is basically a bird base with one flap converted in diagonal creases.

The CP looks simple enough, but I'm not very experienced at folding CPs, so although I managed to fold all the creases shown I couldn't work out how to collapse it and shape the bat.
I can sort of see from the photos how various parts of the bat are formed, but not enough to be able to do it myself.

thank you gwb origami. spiritofcat the cp is folded by folding the diagonal head creases, then refolding the bird base as you normally would squash folding the tip of the bird base to fold the bat's chest, adding the head details like one would do to eric joisel's dwarf design, and opening the wings and tail like you would a traditional crane's. i hope that helps

Thanks, that helps a lot!

I don't think I've quite got it right yet, but I feel like I'm getting closer.
At least it's starting to look vaguely bat-shaped now.
I've never folded Joisel's Dwarf, so I'm a bit clueless when it coms to shaping the head.

You are all most there!! try freeing the trapped paper that will be the face where the head should be and flatten to have two squares on top of each other. Please Keep going!
