Recursive petal folds

Post by Cadix »

Hi,

I have a modal that calls for a split. I've come up with a recursive petal fold as suiting my needs (this one has two iterations).

Here's the CP (this has three iterations):

Red lines are mountain, blue lines are valley. The CP might be a little off, but should be close.

I was wondering if anyone knew where else this has been used and if it has a name.

Thanks,

Tyler

I know Satoshi Kamiya has used something similar in a few of his models (e.g., the Ancient Dragon and Cyclommatus); I've used it myself on occasion. I don't know, however, if it has a specific name.
