Robert Lang's Scorpion

i am stuck at step 2! i know it is a very early step to be stuck on, but i don't know of a way to divide that side equally into sevenths. the scorpion is in "the complete book of origami" by robert lang.

have you tried using a ruler to divide it and use it to help creasing.
it always helped me fold in a straight line, especially when starting
with a huge piece of paper

What I did was just go by the picture and guess... so, basically, I went by luck...

Worked nicely for me!

yes, it is folded from copy paper. and when i think about it, yes, it does look like yours. i think i messed up on the claws, but i guess they will get better with practice.

Next time you need to perform a tricky division use one of Haga's Theorems it is more accurate than meassuring

yes, they do. i'll just fold the model again and see what i did wrong on my first try.
