You'll find the diagrams for the Koi in Lang's book, Origami Design Secrets.

There are no diagrams for the Scaled Koi. Instead, Mr. Lang explains the concepts of adding the scale, then leaves the rest as an exercise for the reader.

I once made a little photo guide on how to make the scales. You can find it here: http://flickr.com/photos/origami_8/sets ... 389793045/

But as I understand from the photoguide, you actually make squares on the back of the paper. But i still don't get the head part :(

When you make the koi, you only put scales on a part of the paper, wherever you want them on the end product. The rest will be mostly flat. Then, you fold the koi pretending the pleated paper is a normal sheet.

to fold the scales, you need to interlock pleats, then make small open sinks, that is the way i make scales.tell me if the information was useful(this is the first post i ever posted in)

In ODS, Lang shows the scale pattern he used. It is not just normal pleats with sinks, he uses a different pattern that looks the same but is more efficient. Anna posted this photo guide earlier in the topic.

well.it's cm.in inches, 40 inch would be 100cm, as 20 inch is 50 cm, and the lenght of one inch 1s 2.5 centimeters.
