Manuel Sirgo - Simple Parrot

Post by Foldalot »

Hi everybody,
My first post here and already some problems to start with
Hopefully somebody would be so kind to explain how I should get to step 5-6 of this model: http://www.origami-cdo.it/ospiti/pdf/guacamayo.pdf

I'm not very experienced but I have done some origami before, nothing very complicated though (such stuff with sinks etc) so I could use some help.

Recommendations for other models or books are always welcome but I'll post more about that later... damn exams :?

Well, thanks in advance I guess

Yes, the diagram may prove to be confusing. It's caused by the angle at which the pictures were taken. To reach step 5 you should simply make a squash fold

Then make two inside reverse folds to get this

I hope that helps.

Thanks alot for the swift response.
I managed to finish it after some troubles at step 8...
It doesn't look as nice as in the pictures though. Guess I'll have to keep practising
