Sipho Mabona - Fugu

I'm trying to fold Sipho Mabona's fugu and I was wondering two things...
1- How do I compress the base of the tale so it looks like two separate parts, the tale and the body
2- Since I only have in hand a thick paper and glue (not methyl cellulose), would it be better if I use tape to join both edges instead of glue? Since it's a thick paper and it would be four rows of water bombs together if I use glue, I think it would make the "puffing" action weird and hard to collapse in the union.
I would be very thankfull if someone could help me.
Sorry for my bad english

I have done this fish twice. I can only recommend that you find some thin paper. I have used Unryushi (60 cm) and bannana leaf (50 cm) succesfully. With a thick paper I think folding the mouth will be very difficult!

See
here for some advice.
If I remember correctly, the MC is only for securing layers in this model. There's no shaping or wet-folding that requires MC. If I'm right, using watered-down PVA (white) glue should work fine.
If I'm wrong, then I'd suggest trying it on some cheap(er) paper first.

Searched everywhere but didn't find a CP for this model. Where is the CP published?

Cp or even diagrams are in one of the origami tanteidan books if I remember correctly. The fugu is on the front cover. Nr 14 15 or 16 I believe.

Yes, the diagrams are in Tanteidan Convention Book 14, but be aware that the model needs a heavy amount of MC. First of the fins are folded, then the sheet is glued together entirely before continuing folding. Locking everything in place in the end, also isn't possible without glue.
