The 1st rule of asking for help is: You DO talk about the source of the instructions.

The 2nd rule of asking for help is: You DO talk about the source of the instructions.

The 3rd rule of asking for help...

I'm going to fathom a guess that the reference point for this (the circled point) is the same as the one in Robert Lang's Hercules Beetle (the one in Insects and their Kin).

If you have that book, follow the folding sequence to Step 5 and then rotate 180 degrees. This is just a guess though.

Partial redrawn CP using a very familiar reference point...

I finished my test fold of the eurypterus, and it turned out pretty good. Next, I decided to try the Mixopterus, also by SK. The reference points are really easy, but part of the CP is obscured. Does anyone know whats hiding under the creature's head?

Nothing exciting. It's just the same stuff you can see at the bottom.

Haha Jared, that's the tail :o

You're right, Kamiya uses that reference point a LOT. I hadn't realized quite how often...

What I meant was in the area under the diagonal that cuts the pattern in half. there is one small part there that is obscured, and cant be seen on the other half either. My best guess is to try the same structure there that was in that section of the eurypterus.

Does anyone have pictures of the folded base? I collapsed the whole thing except the circled area, which I am having trouble with.
