hello all, new to the forum ^^

I was wondering if anybody had some favorite rose bases, stems, and leaves and the diagrams for how to do them...

I can fold the K-rose just fine, but have not found much in terms of base etc.
I have seen Joseph Wu's rose base... and I was wondering what else was out there.

I would love to find this base and leaf set:

in fact I am currently wondering on the very same question. I managed to find some bases for the rose, but I am still looking for more. I'm not that interested into stems and leaves right now, although these could be very useful, too, but I rather need something more flat that allow me to expose only the rose itself. Because once stemmed, it needs a vase or somerhing like that to be exposed.

Particularly, I am looking for a model of the base used on a picture in Rick Beech's book "Origami: The Complete Practical Guide to the Ancient Art of Paperfolding" - in the section for Origami Gallery, it shows the new Kawasaki rose with a very nice and useful base that could allow it to lie on a shelf just like that.

Does anyone know a printed book or an online diagram to fold this base?

Hi, I'm new here. I was wondering if anyone has good tips on attaching a wire stem to the Kawasaki rose securely. Mine keep falling off their stems! The origami calyx and stem are beautiful but sometimes I'm just lazy. Thanks in advance

Anybody tried base for Kawasaki rose designed by Joseph Wu? I am stuck at step 6. If anybody tried that and can post some pictures I would be very grateful.

HI, i'm new here, i just folded the new kawasaki rose (somehow god help me) and i want to do the joseph wu diagram leaves and stem, but it doesn't make much sense. Can somebody help me?

hi i'm new here. uh well i made a leaf and stem for the kawasaki rose from the book Origami for the Connoisseur. i didnt really want to go on the internet to look up for any base so i designed my own. its not that good. its just a stalk with one leaf at the top and you stick a little point into the hole of the bottom of the rose. (you dont want to know how old i was when i designed it and how old i am now)

I know a pretty good leaf model that's an easy fold. I might make a photo tutorial on how to make it....

Oh and on Dan of Toasters' site he has a photo tutorial on how to make the Calyx and the Stem for his version of the Kawasaki Rose.

If you combine all of those models together, you'll have a nice kawasaki rose complete with a stem sitting atop a suitable base. Hope it helps!

I noticed no one had posted the stand for the kawasaki rose on here so i thought i would. I think it's a cute little bit even thought not very real looking. It is very simple though and displays the rose nicely. Enjoy everyone!

Hi, Ive tried many stems for this rose, but i think the one that i like the most are the stems and leafs of the book Le panier fleuri, of Lionel Albertino, legally downloadable from this site

If folded with tissue, its also a perfect stem for lang rose.
