Re: Chris Palmer's Hat Tent--CP or Folding Information?
Hey smosher could you please post a video of your model in action?
Re: Chris Palmer's Hat Tent--CP or Folding Information?
yes but i used elephant hide and i'm still shaping the creases on the top of the spinner so my paper needs about 5 more days to dry in order for it to spin properlyBrimstone wrote:Hey smosher could you please post a video of your model in action?

Smosher, your posts did not get deleted, they weren't approved yet when you complained. Each new member needs his first three posts approved by a Moderator before they are made public. If you change a post during this period, it needs to be re-approved and therefore vanishes temporarily from sight. I know it is kind of a bug, that you can't see your own posts after sending. That's plain stupid in my opinion, but I'm not sure whether there is a way to change that.

This thread is dead.
Re: Chris Palmer's Hat Tent--CP or Folding Information?
Chris Palmer finally published a somewhat simplified version of the spinner from the original video, in Creased Magazine. It is called the Hexagonal Flasher Top. It is a fairly complex design and hard to collapse but it folds neatly into a tight cylinder with a well-defined conical pointed base.
