Warhammer Origami

Post by JamesMunro »

Has anyone ever come across any designs that relate specifically to Warhammer or Games Workshop in general?

Oh dear. One day I knew someone would mention this. Warhammer. It's that virus that goes round brainwashing everyone.

In response to your question, judging by the level of detail in warhammer figurines I would highly doubt if anyone has ever made any warhammer origami. If they did it would probably be highly abstracted and almost unrecognisable.

A lot of Eric Joisel's works are based on lord of the rings characters, which is about as close as you're going to get to warhammer, and anyway, there's no diagrams out for most of them, so you're either going to have to design your own, or learn how to reverse engineer really quickly. (It would probably take years, if you're not a genius or guru! )

Hi!

I stumbled upon this thread via google while searching for warhammer origami...

While i have no diagrams to show, i want to show you something:

I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but while surfing through several sites from origami-clubs around the world i once found something on the homepage of the austrian origami-society:

http://www.origamiaustria.at/od2010.php?lang=2

lots of interesting stuff there altogether, but you may want to look especially at pics no. 48 to 58
(see: http://www.origamiaustria.at/od2010.php?lang=2&pic=48 to http://www.origamiaustria.at/od2010.php?lang=2&pic=58)

I've tried to find more information about this, but without any useful results, yet. :(

Maybe (read: hopefully :D [-o< ) someone here knows more about this?

Greetings, redlofrepap

Yes, the display was amazing. Most of the figures where multi part though. What exactly would you like to know about this?

Hi!

of course i would like to know where to find the diagrams (or at least crease patterns)! :D What do you mean "multi part"? Are the figures modular? In the pictures they look rather monolithic (except the blue guys under the dome - they carry grey guns? and i guess the dome itself is also modular?).
