"Inflatable rabbit" model

Post by Carson »

Greetings,

I wonder if anyone here could help me track down this model. I made a number of origami rabbits for my mother years ago and she really loves them, but they are a bit long in the tooth and she asked me to make some new ones. I cannot for the life of me remember where I found the instructions for this rabbit:

This rabbit looks a lot like this one, but is not actually the same...

...the difference is the bottom, which I showed in the second one of my photos. The rabbit I'm looking for has feet.

If anyone knows what book I might have used to make these, I would be very appreciative! My mother has been asking me to make more forever, but I can't figure out how I did it, even taking a few of the old ones apart. I'd like to track the book down. I didn't see a picture of it in the database.

Thanks very much for your time!

Best,

Carson

Hi Carson,

That is the inflatable rabbit model by Robert Lang and appears in his Complete Origami book which you should be able to get from Amazon. It's trickier to fold than you might expect!

Outstanding! Thanks so very much for that information. I even recognize the cover of the book, now that I see it, from years ago. Much appreciated!

I am going to track down a copy directly.

Thanks again for your time. :D

My idea exactly! we must have mind melded or something. I agree, it is R. Langs rabbit.

On the Origami-Club page it shows how to make an inflatable bunny, not sure if it's the model you are looking for though...
