Pretty but simple closing boxes for wedding favours?

Post by Cat. »

Hi

A friend is getting married later this year and has asked me if I can find instructions for a pretty box that she can make to put a few sweets in for each guest at her wedding. It has to close (perhaps a lid will do), and has to be simple to make - as far as I know she hasn't done any origami before, and there will be quite a few to make.

I've had a look online, and there are many many boxes out there, but ones that are both simple to make and not completely plain seem quite hard to find, so I wondered if anyone had any suggestions please?

I hope this hasn't been asked before - I did search but couldn't find anything. Sorry if I missed it.

Thanks
Cat

I'm not totally sure about the simple part, it is simple to me. Check it out and pm me if you're interested.

Thanks for the suggestions! :-) I said I'd get back to her in a few days, and I plan to offer her a selection to choose from if I can. To me those look lovely, but I don't really know what she wants beyond 'easy, pretty and closing', hence wanting a few different ones to show her. Hopefully one will be perfect!

I'll send you a pm Brimstone - I think that's a really nice box, thanks.

Very grateful for your help. Any more ideas please?

Well I love this modular cubic box:

You'll find a link to the photo-diagrams around the middle of the page, the password is right bellow the link.

Let us know what boxes end up in the wedding. Or even better, share us some pictures ;).

That's a nice one too, thank you Gerado :-) I'll certainly let you know what she chooses. I'm not going to the wedding, but might be able to get a pic or two anyway, as I'd like to see the finished boxes too.
