Origami Tanks.

Post by chesscuber98 »

I am looking for a mildly complex yet realistic looking tank. Anyone have ideas?

I saw a nice tank on joseph wu flickr page a while back. I doubt he has diagrams or cp though. He gets mad when you ask him btw.....

There is Charles Esseltine's one-dollar tank diagram, for instance on Sara Adams' webpage (first model listed), but it is fairly simple so maybe not what you are looking for.

Thank you for the replies. I am looking for something out of a square. The Origami Database has some entries, but sadly no pictures.

I personally have my own tank design..I guess it's quite realistic since it has caterpillar tracks on the body :)
If you want, I can make a photo-diagram in about 1 month..?(still busy with my school works..)
Btw,what's your purpose?

Just search origami tank on you tube there is this real simple one that looks pretty difficult. The only problem is the turret for it is another piece of paper.
Ouch! Are you okay? Well...let's see.. advanced box-pleating techniques, Satoshi Kamiya, yeah I'm good. If you fall down nine times get up ten times.

Jang Yong Ik's tank is the best I've seen. There is a crease pattern out there somewhere, exactly where I do not know.
