Crane variation

What's the name of the model that's a traditional crane with another crane folded from the middle triangle of the original? It's almost like the tsuru rose, but instead of the flower it's another small crane. I've seen pictures of it before but I can't seem to find it anymore. Are there any diagrams for this?

I don't know that that's possible without adding a graft through the two lateral midpoints. But I did that once and managed three cranes.
The closest thing I can think of to what you're describing is Robert Lang's "Generations," which is diagrammed in one of the OUSA convention books.

I'm assuming that you are not looking for Rokoan, Renzuru, or Senbazuru connected cranes folded from paper that has cuts. Google the terms, if interested.
