Hi All,

I am very new to origami. I am looking to make a rectangular tag comprised of two pieces. I need one to wrap around the other and ideally just overlap in the corners. So, kinda like 4 corner bookmarks that are all attached on one side and made from one piece. Attached is an image to describe what I am looking for. I don't care how many folds the folded/overlapping side has. Please let me know if you can think of a way to achieve this without glue or tape! Thank you!

So I understand you want to do this with two different sheets, right? Can they be rectangular sheets?

Also, I fold the squares of the corners—by their diagonal half—with a mountain fold instead of a valley fold.

I actually figured out what I wanted but with a non-rectangular piece. BUT, this is way more cool! I am definitely going to attempt this one for another project. Thanks!

If you're using two sheets of paper, this is the easiest way to do it. You can fold in the four corners like the picture. If you're familiar with the preliminary base or the windmill base, it's like those. you get four little squares around the edges. Tuck the bottom of the squares in to get the little triangles on the edges. Finally slide the other paper into the four edges. The paper will have to be smaller than the one with the corners to fit, or it can be the same size with the sides folded to match the first piece.

If this doesn't make sense I can make a more detailed picture instruction.
