Re: Did this model already exist?
I consider the following more of a design exercise than one of my official models. Anyway, since I'm participating with it in the monthly design challenge, I thought I asked if you know of someone who had folded it before. Do you? Thank you in advance .
EDIT: I was also asking about a different kind of models, but I changed my mind. I'm currently creating, trying out different ideas. When I'm done, I'll ask you guys if similar models already existed or not.

This is another folding exercise with which I'm participating in the monthly design challenge. Do you know someone who has folded it before?
This is its back:
Aside from that one, I created the following obvious models. Can you please tell me if you had seen any of them or similar models before?

Has anyone seen this type of modular castle wall before?

Re: Did this model already exist?
I haven't. Did you already ask on Spot the Creator? You could also ask through the mailing list?

Re: Did this model already exist?
I was inspired by Robert Foord's post on Spot The Creator. So I did post the images as a reply I also made a sliding box from the same pattern. However I haven't asked directly.

Can you please tell me if this modular cube with corner pockets already existed?
It has six modules in total. I made it to insert for example Froebel folds, just like this...
Aside from that one, can you please tell me if this kusudama already existed?
I only made and connected six modules in order to show you guys. If I had used duo color paper instead, the small pentagon would have a different color.
In that case, you would have also seen a small cube-like shape with a different color where the three modules connect.
This is a single module, which is folded from a square. You need 30 in order to fold the kusudama.

Re: Did this model already exist?
It's folded from an isosceles straight triangle. I made it in 2015. Did this model exist before that?
Thank you in advance.

Re: Did this model already exist?
Did this, or a very similar, kusudama unit already exist? It's for a 30 unit one.
Left side shows the front and right side shows the back of the unit.
This is how they connect.
Thank you in advance .

This is the resulting kusudama from that unit. So, had any of you seen this kusudama before or a very similar one?
Happy holidays!

I also made this by altering the unit a bit. Does anyone recognize it from another creator or a similar modular model?
Thank you in advance.

I dreamt I was folding this (first time for me)... and I was able to fold it for real. The bottom picture is of its back. Can you please tell me if you have seen a similar model before? It's OK if it's just a bit similar. I'd love to know!
Thank you in advance.

Re: Did this model already exist?
There’s a pop-up butterfly card by Jeremy Shafer that looks like it has a similar concept. I can’t say whether it’s similar enough to your model to warrant independent discovery, though.
Re: Did this model already exist?
Thanks Baltorigamist! There's a video of the model. I checked it out and it is very different from mine. Jeremy's model is somewhat more complex in order to get the cool-looking flapping action .

Re: Did this model already exist?
I want to find out if someone else created a similar model before me. Can you please tell me if you know of a similar one? It's a modular. The top and bottom units are the only ones folded. Each of the four sides uses a separate sheet without any folds. Here I show it with squares of transparency film, but if you have seen it with photographs or sheets of paper instead of transparencies, I'd appreciate it if you let me know.
Thanks in advance !

Re: Did this model already exist?
This is the way I've folded the lid for certain boxes since 2011, but last night I found some references I liked for the bottom and the top part so to fold them into this flattish case by using two papers of the same size and playing with both sixteenths and fifths. Yet, it's a very simple and obvious model, so that's why I want to ask if one of you had seen it before.
Thank you in advance.
