I'm looking for design inspiration in the form of realistic insects that are based (at least in part) on 22.5-degree structures--not box-pleating or circle-packing. I know Seth Friedman and Kaede Nakamura have a few crease patterns published between them (and then there's Chad Killeen's stag beetle), but an internet search isn't turning up much else.
Does anyone know of other examples?

Is Lang's Hercules Beetle realistic enough?
I think some of his other models from Insects and thier kin are also 22.5 based.

Somehow that particular model slipped my mind. (I have both his insect books, too.) Thanks.
I should mention I have the first two of Satoshi Kamiya's Works books as well, the second of which includes his Cyclommatus and Cicada nymph.

Yeah, I just saw a cyclomatus Mettalifer(Satoshi Kamiya) on my recommendations on Mariano's channel I guess it just slipped my mind(thought he had only lucanus). Robert lang has one but it is Hex-pleated. I prefer lucanus though. (I thought I said something earlier here, oops)
