Looking for Cobra Diagrams

I wanted to try folding David Derudas's cobra model, but I find the diagrams to be very difficult to follow. It may just be me though

Is there any where on the net I can download some different diagrams? I would also be interested in the King Cobra diagrams but I can only find reference to them as part of OUSA convention books and I don't have access to anything like that. Can anyone help me out? :?:

King Cobra

Hi Jen,

That's exactly what I've been thinking too :)
I remember reading an article about the construction of the King Cobra made from severeal smaller squares instead of a larger rectangle. If only I could get the diagrams...

I'll ask around in the O-List for you.

Thankyou Saj :)

 Your post reminded me that I should do an archive search. I found many, many, many posts referring to "cobras", in particular when David Derudas came out with his and when Ronald Koh designed the King Cobra. I have sent Ronald an e-mail requesting diagrams for his model, as that is how people on the list ended up getting them. I'll let you know how successful I am ;). After reading all those archived posts, though, I'm almost scared to try this model now! :o

Thanks!

Hey Jen if you manage to get the diagrams, can you please send them this way too  ?

I think it may have been Paula Versnick who managed to fold the one with several bits of paper, but I may be mistaken.

I also remember a dollar bill version, which was also discussed fairly recently on the O-List. Somebody had folded it as part of the 14 days exercise.

Yeah, I remember the dollar bill fold being discussed. :) As our lowest bill denomination is now $5, I'm not much into bill folding!

I still haven't heard a response to my query, though. I'll give it a while longer (a week or so) and then try again :) I'll definitely send them your way when (and if) I get them. we can race and see who gets done first!

I've been folding Lang's golden eagle the last couple of days. Wow! What a great bird! If only I could get those darn talons to work out better, it would be perfect. As it is, this morning's bird was a vast improvement over yesterday's! :D

Take care,

I e-mailed Mr.Koh for the diagrams a while back, he couldn't send them because of some computer problems.

Edit: Sorry guys, if you want the diagrams you'll have to ask Mr. Koh. This post was from 5 years ago, I don't think I could send them to you any longer under good conscience, its better that you ask the source.

Ronald Koh's Cobra diagrams are NOT on his homepage. If you want them you have to ask him.
Diagrams that are free available are the ones for David Derudas Cobra.
You just qualified for not being trustworthy.

Shouting at me (writing everything in cabs) doesn't turn my opinion of someone to good... :-s

if one can't do the derudas one, i'm not sure if switching to the koh will help. they're very similar, structurally, i believe...
