I wonder if it was requested that the design be removed because the design is in a DVD. Here: http://store.origamido.com/orofvavafema.html

I'd upload them, but is it okay?

Ok, here is the link to the page that has the diagrams. It is split into four parts and you'll have to click on each link individually. That's how I did it at least. By the way I haven't made it yet... I really should get on that. http://web.archive.org/web/200409010855 ... m/english/

Hey, nice diagrams! Though I find that origamido's DVD
"The Origami of Valerie Vanne featuring the Magic Rose Cube"
is nicer sense the assembly of all the units could be confusing.
This should be availabe throught their website at www.origamido.com

Thank you for bumping this and for the diagram link. I've had so much fun making this and giving them as gifts.

VV really milked that model for all it's worth. I seriously don't believe that you need the video to really see how it's done. I've folded from worse bootleg diagrams than what was linked above, and there really is not that much to it, but yes it was ingenious.

I'm just surprised and annoyed that she went with selling an expensive video for one little model route instead of publishing the diagrams in a convention book route. She wouldn't look so ungenerous were it not for the fact that most origami designers publish affordable diagrams in magazines, convention books, and their own books. And the ones that make videos are demonstrating techniques that are not communicated well through diagram instructions.

Sorry rant over.

Actually the video she made wasn't just the Rose Cube. It had a variety of different modulars also designed by her. But yes I do agree that it wouldn't hurt to make diagrams in a magazine. It is relatively simple and probably could've gotten a few pages in BOS mag or Tanteidan.

And here it is folded. It's not really hard once you figured it out.
