Can anyone tell me where i can find the diagram for this elephant, i had the page bookmarked but my computer went belly up and i can no longer find it.

This is the elephant by Fumiaki Kawahata.
Instructions were available on Ravi Apte's homepage which unfortunately isn't available anymore...

You can also find the diagrams in Tanteidan Convention Book 5 if you can get a hand on it...

I'm looking for the same elephant diagram.

I'd like to make a nice looking elephant that I can put a box below and a slit in the top so I can make a envelope drop box for a friend's wedding. This design fits the bill, but I can't find the instructions anywhere. The link above is the closest I've found yet, but as it states, you can't see the photos.

can anyone send me diagrams or a funtional link?

I think that Tanteidan Convention book #5 is out of print. But you can try Rojas Origami Animals, it is only $.22 used (plus shipping) on amazon, the baby elephant has similar proportions but the back is not 3d. I don't own that book personally but like the model so much I can fold it from memory! If you need a picture I can fold and post it.

Be aware that Rojas' Animal Origami uses lots of cutting and drawing to get the desired results. If you are fine with this go along and buy the book, otherwise you should rather look out for other instructions.

The baby elephant does NOT have cutting though, it is one of the few models that does not.
