Christmas Time

Post by OrigamiKnowHow »

Hey all, I was trying to get into the spirit this winter, and I wanted to fold a nice Christmas model.

It could be a snowflake, Christmas tree, whatever.

If anyone has recommendations, please share.

Thanks. :D

My favorite christmas origami character is Santa by Hideo Komatsu. Here's a link to a picture and CP: http://www.origami.gr.jp/~komatsu/gallery/santa.html

Simple and nice looking models with animation instructions and/or diagrams.

I love these, especially A Santa2 model. 10-20 steps on each so you can easily decorate your whole house with christmas origami. :D

Happy folding. :)

p.s sorry for my english.

Firstly, do Giang Dinh's Santa (diagrams in Nicolas Terry's website). Secondly, fold tonnes of stars from Manuel Sirgo's book, Origami Menagerie.
Next fold the various snowflakes my origamimasterjared on his Origami Weekly page.
Lastly fold a Ryujin 3.5 and place it as the centrepiece :D !

I have a couple holiday-themed diagrams on Flickr...

By far the most viewed items in my Flickr gallery are my Holiday Star diagrams. My Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/oriholic

I also did a couple Snowflakes for Origami Weekly. Week 1 was a CP, and Week 2 was the diagrams for one version. Origami Weekly: http://www.flickr.com/photos/origamiweekly

Cheers!
