Origami Corset

Post by Mazzle »

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a good pattern for folding an origami corset? I have trawled everywhere but been unable to find any. Ideally I want to be able to make ones that open in the middle, so I can use them as invites.

I have found someone who sells them pre made (the fabulous VoodooDoll Designs), but they only ship to America, and I wanted to try making some myself. If you follow the link to the site, you will see the sort of thing I am aiming for - they are fabulous!

Any help you could give would me much appreciated!

Thanks, Mazzle x

I moved this to the right section and edited the title.

The model you linked to is very easy, here is a short photo diagram I made after looking at the pictures:

1: Make waterbomb base
2: fold the top layers up
3: fold them to the middle again
4: tuck the flaps on the top into the pockets below
5: turn the model over
6: fold both sides to the middle line
7: valley fold top parts
8: squash fold the small triangles
9: the finished corset
10: backside of the corset

Thank you so much! I've had a quick go and you're right, it was very easy :) But I'm useless at figuring these things out myself....

Thank you so so much, I will post pics of my finished attempts when they are made!
