six sided square base or five sided square base

Does anybody know a good five/ six sided square base that I could try out that is of any level of complexity? thanks.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but John Montroll has what he calls, from memory, the "Five Sided Preliminary Base" in the Starfish Model of
Animal Origami For The Enthusiast, if that's any use (?).

I have tried using montroll's base but it has alot of white triangles on the inside that get very annoying. I would like a base that is either plain white on the inside or only colored on the inside.

Montroll's base is about the best one.

If anybody went to origami USA convention 2010 and took Daniel Robinson's Mountain Goat lesson they might remember it had a 5 sided square base. I can't remember how to fold it and I think it might be nice to use it.
