Modular Origami Creatures

Hello everyone,

I wanted to ask if there were any modular origami diagrams for animals or other similar creatures, such as fantasy or mythological creatures, (besides dinosaurs and geometric figures, please) in books or online that I could fold. Difficulty doesn’t really matter.

Halle has some books with cartoon animals and human beings from several parts. Not sure if this is what you are looking for.

Kawahata has several such books of multi-sheet, covering bugs, dinosaurs, and fantasy creatures (I'm not talking about Origami Fantasy).

I don't care for multi-sheet animals so my copies just collect dust (I didn't know they were multi-sheet when I ordered them). Here are a couple of galleries from Gilad's site:

I have one volume on bugs and one volume on mammals like deer etc I bought mine from Kims Crane but that was a decade ago, I think you might have to order from Amazon jp now.

Thanks everyone, you're a great help.

I was hoping for something more complex (considering the fact that they're made from more than one piece) but I guess I'll take what I can get. The cartoon models are quite realistic though.

If you want more complex try the skeleton triceratops from Super Complex Origami. Also in that book are multisheet motorcycles that look pretty cool.

Leo Lai has very complex modular models you could be inspired by him, but I don't think he has any animals he makes.

The figures/people look incredible!

Though I highly doubt I could fold something of that caliber. I looked at his other works on his flickr, and the horse is my favorite animal. Does he diagrams for any of his works?

I've also done the T. Rex skeleton and the triceratops skeleton before, they're fantastic. Robert Lang's T. Rex skeleton makes me say otherwise though (if he makes a cp/diagram someday, I will be one of the first in line to get it, my promise).

He is quite amazing at origami isn't he? And no I don't think he has any diagrams, but his cello has a CP for sure.
