I've actually been lurking around for some time.
I was first introduced to Origami in 5th grade (graduated HS in 2000). For a Christmas ornament my teacher did not want to make the usual tree with your picture on it. So instead we made water bombs which we added a small bit of string in order to be able to hang to a tree. I picked up on it almost instantly and ended up helping others students in my class. Since I was a sickly child who spent a lot of time in bed with little energy, my mom thought it was a great hobby to encourage in me. Dropped Origami in high school, I had pretty much exhausted the variety of books I could find. Though the past few years I've picked it back up again.
I'm glad to be here and would like to fine a group in Fort Worth Texas.
