New to Paperless Origami...Hello

My name is Rafael and my approach to origami will be paperless since I use SketchUp to make animations of a paper slowly folding to make a figure. So far a have done only one a crane which can be seen at my youtube site; http://youtube.com/user/RenderizaStudio
I hope to make more as it is really fun process and I joined here so I can further my understanding. When I heard people like Nasa saw potential in building compact technology that could unfold later on it really picked my interest. I am interested in architecture as well and would be cool to research origami applications for this field.
