Hey Everyone

Tkal here. I've been looking for a place to learn some new origami builds and it seems like this might be the place.
I first got into origami when I was about 7 and my cousin taught me how to make a boat. It was a cool thing at the time, but I didn't really pursue it. At 11 or 12, my teacher told our class about the story of the 1000 paper cranes and in turn taught us how to make the crane itself and then it began to stick with me
I started to make a whole bunch of cranes and now I make super mini ones whenever I have the paper. Gum wrappers, notepad paper, even a parking ticket I found. (Looking back, I hope things didn't go too badly for them)
I sort of stuck with that for a really long time until I stumbled a thing called a crush and sought to make a flower. When I found the Kawasaki rose, it was the most confusing thing I had seen yet and I gave myself headaches and paper cuts trying to figure out what the demonstrator in the video was trying to do, but love makes you do crazy things
In the end, it didn't work out, but succeeding in learning the build was really gratifying and it's now a joy to make them. And most girls I know now seem to appreciate them too
Recently I've been trying to really expand my set of builds. Michael LaFosse's book was a real inspiration and I tried learning a few from there, but they proved to be a whole other level above what I know.
Right now, I'm particularly looking to learn how to do the New Kawasaki Rose as an extension from my previous little adventure. I've been stuck at a particular step for a while, but I think a few of the threads I've searched up should help.
Anyway, hope I can learn some stuff here!
tl;dr : Hello
