Modular Origami - New to the forum!

Post by caweenna »

I have 2 questions :

1) There is origami that requires folding the same shape and then buidling the character like frog, bunny, does anyone know what type of origami that is called and where I can find more diagrams to make different shapes?

2) I saw these bowls and baskets that were made out of newspaper, almost weave like. Does anyone know what those are called or where I can find more information on them?

THanks!!!!

I know what you're talking about in your first question. The only place off the top of my head that I could think of that has these modules and lots of designs is a book called 3D Origami (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/488996 ... 5?n=283155) and More 3d Origami (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/488996 ... 5?n=283155). I'm sure there are some things online, but I'm not sure exactly where. As for the books, if there's a Barnes and Noble around (or any other book store that might have it) you could go and flip through it.
