wow so rare is a folder here.

seen syahmir's site not bad. Angry demon too. sorry my bandwidth is slow, so didn't get to see the rest. will do that next time.

As for paper, try chinese caligraphy paper and backed by baking paper. Crepe paper tears easily.

I just downloaded in flicker. search for Sonny Wong.

I am also newbie but long time folder, I am not sure whether the rare Malaysian folders have met each other.

How about meeting each other for a session somewhere in public so that to create awareness and popularise this 'art' and to delurk more folders.

Folding alone is not that fun.

Any suggestions? What about those who wrote here? Hope they still peek into this site.

Cheers

Hi all, I live near KL and just picked up my old origami book after a far too long hiatus and some paper from Kinokuniya. Any future meet ups/conventions? I am interested. :D

hi all^^

i was googling something else when i saw this thread again.
you guys have some beautiful galleries.
hope to see more noises around^^

dont think there will be any major conventions in m'sia anytime soon.
the nearest should be in indonesia or singapore if you are lucky^^

probably the best option available is stirring up a private gathering.
k2002 is the mastermind you should look for.
