May A Thousand Cranes Issue Forth From Thy Hands!

Post by Jakeplusplus »

Hey, my name's Jake or Jacob, I'm not picky. I have been doing origami since forth grade so about 11 years. A few years back (probably 1 or 2) I got Lang's Origami Design Secrets and got really serious about designing. I had already had a few under my belt from doodling and modifying others designs, but not the sit down with pencil and paper designs. I also love video games and am learning to program, but origami has been my most consistent hobby. I am on twitter at http://twitter.com/#!/Jakeplusplus and blogger at http://jakesepicquest.blogspot.com/ and http://madetobeloved.blogspot.com/.

Also, what do you think about the thread title for a new greeting amongst origamist?

May the fold be with you! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y47ZTc3lSvk For those who have yet to see this!)

Welcome to the Forum, oh thy folder of paper.
The title was kinnda cool, I like it!
And that video, it's awesome. All those references to Lang are great.

Gotta love the misuse of old english  Anyway, awesome video. I unknowingly had Michael Jackson's "Bad" on when I turned up the volume, but I think that made the video more enjoyable :)

The fold is strong with this one!
Maybe we can start a new greeting like "May thine folds be precise" which would receive the response "And thine paper free from tearing."
