Not that I know of but I also live in Sydney. What I did, because I have some friends that also do origami, is made a club at school. We get about 8 people each week. Anyway, if anyone else knows of a group in Sydney, please share.

Sydney Origami is a not-for-profit association that is dedicated to promoting the benefits of origami for work, rest and play.
We welcome anyone who has an interest in origami, beginners and advanced alike.
Monthly meetings are held usually on the third Saturday of the month, alternating between Town Hall and Willoughby.
In addition to running free classes for absolute beginners, we do show-and-tell with personal projects, share ideas, stay updated with latest news in the origami world, and just socialise and have fun!
All paper supplied.
Gold coin donation per person please.
All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Thanks for that, I cooperate with origamifan11 in running our school club, something like this would be great.
