I can't go to it, but this Fall there IS going to be a convention in Vancouver. It's the Pacific Coast Origami Conference 2007. It's held every two years in the fall, somewhere near the west coast. (Two years ago it was in Phoenix, and two before that it was in San Diego, the only convention I've been to.) Go to

Agh, I'd still probably have to wait a few years until I can travel by myself since 1) I'm starting college on Sep. 26th and 2) My parents wouldn't let me go alone (I haven't met other origami enthusiasts yet, hopefully that will change in college). But it's a nice group of people here too. I should start an origami convention fund ASAP, haha.

I am still not sure if I am coming or not.
The British government has done all that it can to shaft junior / middle grade doctors, and despite 16 days of turmoil, the rota for the hospital I am working at is still not finalised.
I allegedly have the 6th to the 9th off.
Hopefully I'll attend for some of it...

Hi!
Who is going to the formal dinner? And anyone knows if there'll be entertainment and stuff or if it's more about organisational-issues?
Regards,
Anine

and I'm very happy to attend this year. Can't wait to get there and meet y'all.

When it says "formal", some of us won't be wearing ties
I'm organising entertainment for friday night, if you can dance, sing or tell rambling jokes, let me know...
